24 Hours in the West Village

I recently had the joy of heading to my host agency’s day of learning and decided to make a girl’s trip out of it with one of my besties. We just had one full day, but we made the most of it, going for the most aesthetic, delicious options we could squeeze in. Enjoy the following recos

Food and Drink

Rosecrans Coffee + Flowers

Flowers and Coffee? Sold.

Maman

Suckers for good design, we had to stop here for a light bite before we started our day. I love a good almond croissant!

Dante

The best cocktails in the vibey-est setting!

BOBO

A delightful French brunch set in the coziest nook, but also with so much wonderful light! My favorite was the fennel beet salad with goat cheese! Yum.

Olio e Più

On point vibes for a Friday night dinner. Buzzy and delicious. The pasta alla carbonara was for sure the winner here.

Rosemarys

Still dreaming about the LINGUINE CON GAMBERI (sautéed shrimp, white wine, leek confit, Calabrian chili, toasted garlic) - DROOL.

Shopping

Airmail

Founded by former Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter, Airmail in NYC is a trendy stationery and lifestyle store inspired by vintage travel. It offers curated paper goods, unique gifts, and nostalgic travel-themed items for wanderlust-filled shoppers. I purchased a gorgeous guide to Switzerland that has already helped inspire some trip designs.

Goods for the Study

Always a sucker for a paperie.

I could live here.

The Huntress

A chic boutique that blends high fashion with vintage flair, offering carefully selected clothing, jewelry, and accessories that exude a timeless yet edgy aesthetic.

I wish I had purchased one of those cloud paintings!

Where to Stay

The Maritime Hotel

We stayed at the Maritime Hotel in the Meatpacking District (West Village adjacent), a quick 5-minute walk to the West Village. It brings a playful nautical twist to New York’s boutique hotel scene, a nod to its origins as the National Maritime Union headquarters. It’s become a hip destination with west-facing rooms featuring five-foot porthole windows that frame Hudson River views. Compact but cleverly designed, rooms boast built-in furniture and wood-paneled interiors that evoke a ship’s cabin charm. It felt like sleeping in a spacious sailboat cabin with views!

Book with me for these fun perks:

  • Upgrade to next room category, based upon availability at check-in

  • Guaranteed 2pm late check-out

  • Complimentary bottle of wine in room on arrival

  • 25 USD minibar credit per room, per stay

The Marlton Hotel

If you're seeking a hotel that channels old-world charm with a fresh, modern twist, look no further than The Marlton Hotel in Greenwich Village. Originally opened over a century ago, this boutique gem once welcomed icons like Jack Kerouac and Julie Andrews — a testament to its artistic and cultural roots. Now, it’s been lovingly restored with a Parisian-inspired elegance that feels both timeless and trendy. The rooms are small but welcoming- I just love the design.

Crosby St. Hotel

If you know me, you know my obsession is Firmdale Hotels. This hotel is in Soho, but close enough- an easy walk to the West Village. Crosby Street Hotel by Firmdale Hotels brought a splash of British charm to SoHo, NYC, where its colorful, art-filled interiors stand out on a cobbled street just off Broadway. Designed by Kit Kemp, the hotel offers a refreshing break from the minimalist trend, featuring vibrant prints and patterns (hi, it’s me!) that redefine urban luxury. Inside, the hotel balances English-inspired decor with modern comfort, delivering a level of service that feels personal yet polished. The Crosby Bar draws both hotel guests and locals alike, creating a lively social hub, while the 99-seat cinema adds a unique edge, making it a sought-after venue for film screenings and events.

When you book with me, I can elevate your stay with the following benefits:

  • 100USD food & beverage credit

  • Complimentary breakfast

  • Welcome amenity upon arrival

  • Complimentary WiFi

  • Room upgrade (subject to availability)

  • Early check In / Late check-out (subject to availability)
